What is your suggestion or idea?
Section C-2.5. REVISE section title to: VALUES, COVENANT, AND Freedom of Belief
Rework the material in proposed section C-2.2 (Values and Covenant) to go in this new section. Include the six values (Interdependence, pluralism, justice, transformation, generosity, and equity) but reword to remove redundancy with the seven Principles, which I’ve recommended retaining. Include a statement about peace in the Justice section. The term ““Beloved Community”” is overused and has lost its punch. Consider omitting this term from the Justice paragraph.
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
Both Principles and Values are different from each other, and both are essential to our faith. Retaining the seven Principles and adding six values in a new section emphasizes this fact.

Several other Board members and members of two UU congregations. All agree.
