Section C-2.3. Inspirations
DELETE all of the text in the proposed section C-2.2.
ADD ALL of the text in the existing section containing our six Sources.
Also, ADD a seventh source: The arts in all of their beautiful, inspiring, and informing forms.
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
The proposed section C-2.3 on inspirations is poorly worded and says virtually nothing. It is anything but poetic. Our current six sources are beautifully and poetically stated and they reflect the roots and subsequent growth of our faith. Adding a seventh principle recognizing the Arts as a source of inspiration, I believe, would resonate with virtually all UU persons.
