What is your suggestion or idea?
Under ““Justice,”” delete the word ““inclusive”” in the term ““inclusive democratic processes.””
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
The term has no fixed meaning. It is a significant source of possible abuse as the authorities determine that favoring certain groups over others is necessary to be ““inclusive.”” That’s not the nature of democracy. To the contrary, you need to make to make it clear that true democratic processes will be used, including multi-candidate elections, structuring the UUA to represent the congregations more effectively and accurately, and much more. ““inclusive”” democracy means assuring true one-person-one vote representation.
