What is your suggestion or idea?
Justice. We work to be diverse multicultural Beloved Communities where all thrive make the world a better place.
We covenant to dismantle racism and all forms of systemic oppression. We support the use of inclusive democratic processes to make decisions.
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
Justice is more than us building communities. It’s about the whole world.
Democracy is about more than making decisions, eg, transparency in governance.
Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?
Lots of talk in the congregation about how to balance justice as transforming our own communities versus justice as making the world better
