What is your suggestion or idea?
TRANSFORMATION a general rewrite as follows;
We adapt to an always changing world, fundamental in our Unitarian and Universalist heritage, never complete and never perfect.
We covenant to ever open ourselves for growth, spiritually and ethically.
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
Mostly grammatical, and stylistic, for greater effectiveness.
heritage, not heritages. UUA has a heritage in two strands and more.
““We covenant”” sentence should be at the end of all 6 values. Parallel construction adds to the effectiveness/power of a document.
the rest orders it grammatically and removes redundancy.
Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?
No. I just like good writing.
