Strike all the Covenant Statements from the proposed Section C-2.2. Values and Covenant
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
The covenant statements are wordy and make the whole section unwieldy. They make it sound like we couldn’t figure out how to articulate our values the first time around and hoped that adding some action statements would make the values clearer. Removing the covenant will make the values clearer and more succinct - and if they don’t, then the value statement needs to be rewritten or scrapped.

We have had multiple forums in my congregation about this proposal and I have brought this up there.
