We covenant to dismantle sexism, racism, and all forms of systemic oppression…
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
Fifty percent of the population is female.
All over the world, women are oppressed. If you are a women of color, that is twice the oppression. So, I believe it should list sexism first.
Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?
Members of the UU congregation are also members of NOW.org (The National Org for Women. Sexism needs to be recognized with racism.
