What is your suggestion or idea?
This is not strictly speaking an amendment, but you do not offer the option of expressing this opinion: Article II should not be changed and MOST CERTAINLY not in the proposed manner.
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
The proposed new A2 is not needed and would be destructive to the roots and values of UU as a unique liberal religion.
Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?
Yes, I have discussed this at length with at least a dozen long-time UUs and wile there are divergent opinions the general consensus is that (1) The current A2, and in particular the Principles and Sources, are the foundation of UUism, (3) The proposed A2 is full of wishy-washy, feel good language that is, when boiled down, meaningless, (3) The proposed A2. with its emphasis on ““accountability,”” moves us away from gongregational polity and toward a mre authoritarian, top-down structure.
