What is the reason for your amendment idea?
I have a great reluctance to give up on the 7 Principals. They are simple, concise and fairly easy to remember and follow. They made and make me, as an atheist, willing accept some form of religion.
I would like to retain the 7 Principles, with minor revisions, and add the Values, with amendments.
Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?
Yes, with Janet Leavens and others. Most have agreed.
