What is your suggestion or idea?

Over all, I think we should stay with the 7 or 8 principles as written. Short and very clear. Proposed changes are very word and not easy to remember.

What is the reason for your amendment idea?

Clarity

I agree, except that I prefer keeping it to the original 7. The Proposed Eighth Principle is far too wordy for me. And it’s not necessary. The first principle already declares all have inherent worth and dignity.

I agree to keeping the Principles with inclusion of 8th Principle.

I agree with retaining our current 7 principles. They are clearly stated, broadly meaningful without being wordy and easy to understand.
The proposed revisions are hard for me to understand: much too wordy and and unclear. My congregation has discussed these revisions and hold similar opinions to mine as stated above.
We love our 7 principles and oppose replacing them.
