#130 | Jacob King | Keep Original "Strong" Language

What is your suggestion or idea?

Rev. Millspaugh (UUAM) has uplifted the change to the article two draft language:

““While I celebrate that ““all beings”” are still included in the text, in some ways the language has been weakened. For example, ““relationships of mutuality”” with all beings has been changed to ““relationships of respect and care”” with all beings, and instead of covenanting ““to care for and respect”” all beings, the language has been changed to covenanting ““to cherish”” all beings.””

I urge this commission to revert to the original ““strong”” language, as all beings means all beings.

Thank you for your time!

What is the reason for your amendment idea?

Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?

I agree. There is no reason to weaken excellent wording.
