Consider modification to the wording to be more accessible (plain language). Some suggestions were: change “Transformation” to “Adaptive,” and change “Pluralism” to “Belonging” or “Inclusivity.”
What is the reason for your amendment idea?
Modification to the wording to be more accessible / plain language will enable our values to reach more people.
Have you discussed this idea with your congregation or other UUs?
Our congregation held a townhall for our membership to discuss the proposed changes to Article II and this is one of the suggestions we decided to pass along.
